Alpha, also known as the Earth Guardian and formerly known as the King of Altered, is a character featured in The Altered Adventure novel series. He first appears in the second volume of the series, Luck of the Guardians.
History[]
King Alpha was the king of the Altered earth and all its inhabitants. At some point, in a war versus the Flamanine world, Alpha is slain by the Beserkers. His powers are then split into four elements, which are each picked up by the four strongest warriors around his corpse. Barath is given the fire element, Elizabeth with water, Voice with air and Witch with earth. The four soldiers manage to win the war and decide to rule over the universe as Guardians with their new powers, taking over the king's place.[1]
Following his death, Alpha's body is placed in a tomb beneath the Jungle of Hope. In hopes of one day resurrecting the king, an enchantment is cast on the dead king's corpse, allowing the king to one day return with the touch of a person known as the Chosen One. For years, the people of Altered have been in search of the Chosen One, some believing him to be the secret son of the king, but remains unknown.[2]
